BY-LAW NO. 1498/82
Being a By-law to stop up part of Valley
Fa~Road.
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of subsection 1
of section 29~>of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1~0, chapter
302 , the council of any municipality may pass by-laws
to stop up a highway or part thereof; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to stop up that part of
Valley Fa~Road designated as Part 2, on Plan of Reference
40R-6545; and
WHEREAS notice of this by-law has been published once a
week for four consecutive weeks and the provisions of the
Municipal Act relating to the stopping-up of a highway
have been complied with;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The lands described in Schedule "A" attached
hereto are hereby stopped-up as public highway.
This by-law shall not take effect until registered
in the Registry Office for the Registry Division
of Durham.
BY-LAW read a first and second time this 7th day of June 1982.
BY-LAW read a third time this 5th day of July 1982.

SCHEDULE "A" TO BY-LAW 1498/82
ALL AND SINGULAR those certain parcels or tracts of land
and premises situate, lying and being in the Town of
Pickering, in the Regional Municipality of Durham and
Province of Ontario and being composed of that part of
the road allowance between Lots 20 and 21, Concession 1,
being Valley Farm Road, designated as Part 2, on a Plan
of survey of record filed in the Registry Office for the
Registry Division of Durham as Plan 40R-6545.
