HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1483/82THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 1483/82 Being a by-law to establish a Condominium Committee WHEREAS, it is deemed expedient to recognize the condominium community and to identify problems peculiar to that sector; and WHEREAS, the Council of the Town of Pickering wishes to be advised on the needs of the condominium community; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS as follows: 1. a) A Condominium Committee shall be established consisting of seven responsible citizens residing in the Municipality of which two persons shall be appointed from each of Wards 1 and 2 and three persons shall be appointed from Ward 3. b) The members shall be appointed by Council and serve on a Council-term basis. The Committee shall appoint from amongst its members a Chairperson. The Committee shall meet at the Call of the Chair. It shall be the duty of the Committee to make recommen- dations respecting the condominium community to the Town Council through Council's Executive Committee. A majority vote on any question before the Condominium Committee will mean approval. Four members will make a quorum at any duly called meeting of the Committee. Meetings may be called by the Chairperson or with the concurrence of four members of the Committee· BY-LAW READ a first, second and third time and finally PASSED this 3rd day of May, 1982. yor Clerk
