BY-LAW NUMBER 1468/82
Being a by-law to provide for the
appointment of the additional members
of the Pickering Hydro-Electric
Commission.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 55(7) of the
Regional Municipality of Durham Act, R.S.O. 1980, c. 434,
the council may provide by by-law that, for the terms com-
mencing after the 30th day of November, 1982, the additional
members of the Pickering Hydro-Electric Commission shall be
appointed by Council; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution ~32/82, Item #16, made on April 5,
1982, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
deemed it expedient to provide for the appointment of the
additional members of the Commission;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
For the terms commencing after the 30th
day of November, 1982, the additional
members of the Picketing Hydro-Electric
Commission shall be appointed by the
Council of the Town of Pickering.
BY-LAW READ a first, second and third time and finally PASSED
this 5th day of April, 1982.
