BY-LAW NUMBER 1444/82
Being a Restricted Area By-law to amend
Restricted Area By-law 2511, as amended,
to implement the Official Plan of the
Town of Pickering District Planning Area,
Region of Durham, on Part of Lot 19,
Concession l, in the Town of Pickering.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering passed By-laws 929/78 and 1201/80, amending
By-law 2511 to permit the establishment of various commercial
and industrial operations on the subject lands, being part of
Lot 19, Concession l, Town of Pickering;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering now deems it desirable to further amend By-law 2511,
as amended by By-laws 929/78 and 1201/80 to permit limited
vehicle sales in combination with vehicle repairs;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
TEXT AMENDMENT
(1) Section 16o3o7 A of By-law 25ll, as added by
By-law 929/78 and amended by 1201/80, is hereby
further amended by adding thereto the following
definition:
(k) "Vehicle Sales Shop" shall mean an establish-
ment in which vehicles are displayed for sale,
sold or both;
(2) Section 16o3o7 B of the said By-law, as added by
By-law 929/78 and amended by By-law 1201/80, is
hereby further amended by adding thereto the
following permitted use:

16.3.7 C of the said By-law, as added by
929/78, is hereby amended by adding thereto
following zone requirement:
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS FOR VEHICLE SALES SHOP
1. A vehicle sales shop may be permitted only
in combination with a vehicle repair shop
on the site;
2o Not more than 20 percent of the gross floor
area of the combined vehicle repair shop and
vehicle sales shop establishments shall be used
for the display or sale of vehicles;
3° All vehicles for sale or being displayed
shall be kept totally within an enclosed
structure or structures on the lot~

2. EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing
hereof, subject to the approval of the Ontario Municipal
Board, if required.
