BY-LAW NO. 1749 /83
Being a by-law to constitute and appoint a Com-
mittee of Adjustment under the Planning Act, 1983
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 43 of the Planning Act, S.O. 1983,
chapter 1, the council of a municipality may by by-law constitute and appoint a
committee of adjustment where the municipality has enacted a by-law under section 34
or a predecessor thereof; and
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering has enacted several
by-laws under section 34 thereof or a predecessor thereof;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
Part I1 of The Town of Pickering Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following section:

Committee of Adjustment
2121.2
The Town of Picketing Committee of Adjustment shall be con-
tinued, consisting of three persons appointed by by-law, and
having the power to authorize minor variances from the provisions
of any by-law of the Town that implements an official plan, and
to grant its permission to matters set out in section 43(2) of the
Act.
Section 2130.1.5 of the Code is hereby revoked and the following
therefor:

3. This by-law shall be effective as of August /st, 1983.
