BY-LAW NO. 174~83
Being a by-law to appoint a planning advisory
committee under the Planning Act, 1983
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 8 of the Planning Act, 1983, S.O.
1983, chapter 1, the council of a municipality may appoint a planning advisory com-
mittee;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
Part II of The Town of Pickering Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following subsection:
2010.6
A planning advisory committee~ to be known as the "Planning
Committee", is established as of August 1st, 1983, the members of
which shall comprise the Mayor and all of the members of the
Council of the Town. The Planning Committee shall meet, where
possible and practicable, on the first Tuesday of each month, or
on other days to be determined by resolution of Council, to
consider matters of a planning nature and to make recommenda-
tions thereon to Council.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 7ih day of
November , 1983.
