HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1815/84THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 1815/84 Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforce- ment Officers for certain purposes (Parking Regulations - 1210 Radom Street, Pickering) WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of section 70 of the Police Act, RoS.O. 1980, chapter 381, as amended, the council of any municipality or the trustees of any police village may appoint one or more municipal law enforcement officers who shall be peace officers for the purpose of enforcing the by-laws of the municipality or police village; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS as follows: The following persons are hereby appointed as Municipal Law Enforcement Officers in and for the Town of Pickering and are hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable times upon the lands known as 1210 Radom Street, Pickering, in order to ascertain whether the provisions of By-law 851/78 are obeyed and to enforce or carry into effect the said by-law: Mr. Harry Tyson Mr. William McGillis Mr. William Seymour Mr. Roland Preston The authority granted in section 1 hereto is specifically limited to that set out in section 1, and shall not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section 1. These appointments shall expire upon those persons set out in section 1 ceasing to be an employee of Sumar Investiga- tions and Security Incorporated or upon Sumar Investigations and Security Incorporated ceasing to be an authorized agent of Durham Condominium Corporation No. 19, whichever shall occur first.
