BY-LAW NO. 1794 /84
Being a by-law to authorize execution of an
Agreement of Purchase and Sale and consequent
Deed conveying part of Lot 18, Concession 1,
Picketing to 4~97~4 Ontario Limited.
WHEREAS, the Corporation of the Town of Pickering, as successor to the Corporation
of the Township of Pickering, is the owner of certain lands in Lot 18, Concession 1,
Pickering acquired by the Township on January 13, 1966 by virtue of the registration
of Instrument No. 138108; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to provisions of section 193(1) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1980, chapter 302, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing wishes to
sell a portion of those lands no longer required for municipal purposes;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Agreement of
Purchase and Sa/e, in the form attached hereto as Schedule A, between the
Corporation of the Town of Pickering and 419714 Ontario Limited respecting a
parcel of land of approximately 24,420 square feet, having a frontage of 66 feet
on the west side Toy Avenue and being composed of part of Lot 18, Concession
1.
The Mayor and Clerk are hereby further authorized to execute such other
documents, including a Deed as may be necessary to effect the lawful closing of
the transaction set out in the Agreement of Purchase and Sale referred to in
section 1, above.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 20th day of
February, 1984.
