BY-LAW NO. 1785/84
Being a by-law to request the Minister of Munici-
pal Affairs and Housing to make an order under
the Planning Act, section 56, to validate the title
to Lot 39, Plan 283, Pickering
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 56 of the Planning Act, 1983, S.O.
1983, chapter 1, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing may, by order, pro-
vide that the contravention, before March 19, 1973, of section 29 of the Planning Act,
R.S.O. 1970, chapter 349, or a predecessor thereof does not have and shall be
deemed never to have had the effect of preventing the conveyance or creation of any
interest in the land described in the order; and
WHEREAS no such order shall be made by the Minister unless the council of the local
municipality in which the land is situate has by by-law requested the Minister to do
so; and
WHEREAS an application has been received for the enactment of such a by-law with
respect to Lot 39, Plan 283, Pickering;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing is hereby respectfully requested
to make an order, pursuant to the provisions of subsection 1 of section 56 of
the Planning Act, 1983, to the effect that a contravention before the 19th day
of March, 1973, of section 29 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1970, chapter 349,
or a predecessor thereof or of a by-law passed under a predecessor of section
29, or of an order made under clause 27(1)(b), as it existed on the 25th day of
June, 1970 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1960, chapter 296, or a predecessor
thereof, does not have and shall be deemed never to have had the effect of
preventing conveyance or creation of any interest in the following parcel of
land:
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises
situate, lying and being in the Town of Pickering in the Regional Munic-
ipality of Durham (formerly the Township of Picketing in the County of
Ontario) and Province of Ontario and being composed of M1 of Lot 39,
Plan 283, Pickering.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 16th day of
January , 1984.
