HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1782/84THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 1782/84 Being a by-law to fix the salaries of the Commissioners of the Pickering Hydro- Electric Commission for the period commencing December 1, 1983 and expiring on November 30, 1984 WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of section 43(1) of the Public Utilities Act, R.S.O. 1980, c. 423, the salary of such commissioners shall from time to time be fixed by the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS as follows: The salaries of the members of the Pickering Hydro- Electric Commission for the period expiring with the 30th day of November, 1984 are hereby fixed in the following amounts: (a) Chairman ....................... $2,200.00 per annum (b) Commissioner ................... $1,980.00 per annum Notwithstanding the provisions of section 1, each member of the said Commission shall be paid a further sum of $40.00 per day for each day in which such member attends a special meeting approved by the Commission. For the purposes of section 2, the term "special meeting" shall mean, (a) conventions and seminars, (b) any meeting of a designated committee or subcommittee of the Commission, and (c) any meeting of the Commission Town of Pickering, other than meeting of the Commission. occurring outside the a regularly scheduled BY-LAW READ a first, second and third time and finally PASSED this 16th day of January, 1984. ~yor / Clerk
