BY-LAW NUMBER 2588/87
Being a by-law to amend By-law Number 55/74
prohibiting heavy traffic.
WHEREAS pursuant to section 210.117 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, c.
302, as amended, by-laws may be passed by the councils of local
municipalities for prohibiting heavy traffic as defined in the by-law
subject to the Highway Traffic Act; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend By-law 55/74 to prohibit heavy
traffic on Valley Farm Road between Kingston Road and Finch Avenue;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY
ENACTS as follows:
1. Section 2 of By-law Number 55/74, as amended, is hereby further
amended by adding thereto the following:
Valley Farm Road
Kingston Road
(Highway #2)
Finch Avenue
2. This By-law shall not take effect until approved by the Regional
Municipality of Durham.
BY-LAW READ a first, second and third time and finally PASSED this 5th
day of October, 1987.
