BY-LAW NO. 2538/87
Being a by-law to establish and operate an Elderly
Persons~ Centre
WHEREAS pursuant to section 3(1) of the Elderly Persons Centres Act, R.S.O. 1980,
Chapter 131, the council of a municipality may by by-law approved by the Ministry of
Community and Social Services provide for the establishment and operation of Elderly
Personst Centres; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to establish an Elderly Persons~ Centre;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The facility more particularly described in Schedule "A" attached hereto is
hereby established as an Elderly Personst Centre.
2. This by-law shall not take effect until approved by the Minister of Community
and Social Services.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 29th day of June
1987.
