BY-LAW NUMBER 2464/87
Being a by-law respecting remuneration for
Members of Council
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of section 238.1 of the Municipal Act,
R.S.O. 1980, c. 302, as amended, the council may pass by-laws for paying
remuneration to the members of Council; and
WHEREAS it is now deemed expedient to establish the remuneration to be
paid to members of Council for the year 1987;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
The remuneration payable to the Mayor shall be $27,170.00 per annum
or $200.00 per meeting for the period December l, 1986 to November
30, 1987 (inclusive)
2. The remuneration payable to a Councillor shall be $12,225.00 per
annum or $100.00 per meeting for the period December 1, 1986 to
November 30, 1987 (inclusive)
3. This by-law shall be effective from December l, 1986.
4. By-law Number 2166/86 is hereby repealed.
BY-LAW READ a first, second and third time and finally PASSED this 4th
day of May, 1987.
