BY-LAW NO. 2368/87
Being a by-law to amend By-law 2144/86, as
amended (Interim Control-Planning).
WHEREAS, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering has enacted
By-laws 2144/86, 2145/86 2149/86 and 2183/86 pursuant to the provisions of the
Planning Act, 1983, S.O. 1983, chapter i, section 37(1), to impose interim planning
control in certain areas of the Town for one year periods variously ending February
2, 1987, February 3, 1987 and February 16, 1987; and
WHEREAS, since the land using planning policy studies in support of which those
by-laws were passed have not yet been completed or have not yet resulted in the
enactment of a zoning by-law amendment and it is therefore necessary, pursuant to
section 37(2) of the Act, to extend the period of time during which such interim
control will be in effect;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

Items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 of Schedule A to By-law 2144/86, as made by By-law
2145/86, are hereby amended by deleting "February 2, 1987" from Column IV
and substituting "February 2, 1988n therefor in each case.
Item 6 of Schedule A to By-law 2144/86, as made by By-law 2145/86 and amend-
ed by By-law 2183/86, is hereby further amended by deleting "February 2,
1987" from Column IV and substituting "February 2, 1988" therefor.
Item 8 of Schedule A to By-law 2144/86, as made by By-law 2145/86, is hereby
amended by deleting "February 3, 1987" from Column IV and substituting
'~February 2, 1988" therefor.
Items 9, 10, 11 and 12 of Schedule A to By-law 2144/86, as made by By-law
2149/86, are hereby amended by deleting "February 16, 1987" from Column IV
and substituting "February 16, 1988" therefor in each case.
This By-law shall come into force on the day that it is passed, subject to the
operation of section 37 of the Planning Act, 1983.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 2nd day of Feb-
ruary, 1987.
