BY-LAW NO. /87
Being a by-law to stop-up parts of Sheppard
Avenue in Lot 30, Concession 1, Picketing as
public highway (parts of Part 4, Plan 82 Miscella-

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of sections 298(1) and 316(1) of the Municipal
Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 302, the council of any municipality may pass by-laws to
stop-up a highway or part thereof and to authorize its sale at a fixed price;
WHEREAS, notice of this by-]aw has been published once a week for four consecutive
weeks and the provisions of the Municipal Act relating to the stopping-up of a high-
way have been complied with;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering ttEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
Those parts of Lot 30, Concession 1, Picketing, more particularly described on
Schedule A attached hereto, comprising paris of Sheppard Avenue, are hereby
stopped-up and closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
The conveyance of the lands described on Schedule A attached hereto to the
abutting owners at a price fixed at $2.00 plus the Town's legal costs is hereby
authorized.
Schedule A attached hereto forms part of this by-law.
BY-LAW read a first and second time this 19th day of January, 1987,
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 16th day of February, 1087.

SCHEDULE A
Those portions of Lot 30, Concession 1, Picketing, being part of Part 4, Plan 82
Miscellaneous, the boundaries of which are described as follows:
PREMISING that the southerly limit of the said Part 4 has a bearing of N 73° 05' 30"
W, all bearings herein are referred thereto:
FIRSTLY:
COMMENCING at the south-west angle of the said Part 4;
THENCE N 73° 05' 30" E, along the southerly limit of the Part, 85.00 feet;
THENCE N 16° 54' 30" W, 10.00 feet:
THENCE S 73° 05' 30" W, parallel to the southerly limit of the Part and distant 10.00
feet northerly therefrom, 85.04 feet to the westerly limit of Part 4;
THENCE S 17° 09' 40" E, along the last-mentioned limit, I0.00 feet to the Point of
Commencement.
SECONDLY:
COMMENCING at the south-east angle of the said Part 4;
THENCE S 73° 05' 30" W, along the southerly limit of the Part, 88.24 feet;
THENCE N 16° 54' 30" W, 10.00 feet;
THENCE N 73° 05' 30" E, 88,20 feet to the easterly limit of the Part;
THENCE S 17° 09' 40" E, along the last-mentioned limited, 10.00 feet to the Point of
Commencement,
as described in Instrument No. 147857.
