BY-LAW NO. 2059 /85
Being a by-law to authorize the execution of a
transfer/deed of land from The Corporation of the
Town of Picketing to J.D.S. Investments Limited
of that part of the road allowance between Lots 20
and 21, Concession 2, Pickering, designated as
Parts I, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, Plan 40R-8581, closed
by By-law 1945/84 (Valley Farm Road - part)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 193 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1980, chapter 302, the council of a municipal corporation may dispose of land original-
ly required for the purpose of the corporation when no longer so required;
WHEREAS certain parts of the road allowance between Lots 20 and 21, Concession 2,
Picketing (Valley Farm Road - part) are no longer required and have been stopped
up and closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic by By-law 1945/84;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a transfer/deed of land
in the form attached hereto as Schedule A, conveying from The Corporation of
the Town of Picketing to J.D.S. Investments Limited that part of the road
allowance between Lots 20 and 21, Concession 2, Picketing, designated as Parts
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, Plan 40R-8581 (Valley Farm Road - part).
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 2nd day of July,
1985.
