BY-LAW NUMBER 1972/85
Being a Zoning By-law to amend Restricted
Area (Zoning) By-law 2511, as amended, to
implement the Official Plan of the Town of
Pickering District Planning Area, Region of
Durham, in Lots 13 and 16, Part Lots 19 and
20, Plan M-1040 and part of Captain Street,
Plan M-lO40 (Parts 1, 2, 3 and 4, Plan
40R-8499) in the Town of Picketing. (A 40/84)
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing
deems it desirable to amend the vehicle parking requirements
on the subject lands;
AND WHEREAS an amendment to By-law 2511, as amended, is therefore
deemed necessary;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. BY-LAW 2511
By-law 2511, passed by Council of the Corporation of the
Township (now Town) of Picketing on the 5th day of
October, 1960, and approved by the Ontario Municipal Board
on the 3rd day of January, 1963 and amended from time to
time, is hereby further amended only to the extent necessary
to give effect to the provisions of this by-law.
TEXT AMENDMENT
Section 18 of By-law 2511, as amended, is hereby further
amended by adding thereto the following subsection:
18.3.3
Lots 13 and 16, Part Lots 19 and 20, Plan
M-1040 and part of Captain Street, Plan M-1040
(Parts 1, 2, 3 and 4, Plan 40R-8499).
(1)
Despite the provisions of Section 5.21.1 for the
lands designated "M2S" on Schedule "I" attached
hereto minimum off-street parking shall be provided
thereon at the rate of 1 parking space per 126 square
metres or part thereof of gross floor area.
(2)
The provisions of clauses (a) and (b) of Section
5.21.2 shall not apply to the lands designated
"M2S" on Schedule "I" attached hereto.

Schedule "A" to By-law 2511, as amended, is hereby
further amended by altering from "(H)M2S" (Holding)
Yard Storage and Heavy Manufacturing Zone to "M2S"
Yard Storage and Heavy Manufacturing Zone the zone
designation of the lands designated "M2S" on Schedule "I"
hereto, being Lots 13 and 16~ Part Lots 19 and 20, Plan
M-1040 and part of Captain Street, Plan M-1040 (Parts 1,
2~ 3 and 4, Plan 40R-8499)]
EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing
thereof subject to the approval of the Ontario Municipal
Board, if required~
