HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1962/85THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 1962/85 Being a by-law to fix the salaries of the Conraissioners of the Pickering Hydro-Electric Co~nission for the period cormm~ncing December 1, 1984 and expiring on November 30, 1985. WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of section 43(1) of the Public Utilities Act, R.S.O. 1980, co 423, the salary of such co~issioners shall from time to time be fixed by the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY ENACTS as follows: The salaries of the members of the Picketing Hydro-Electric Commission for the period expiring with the 30th day of November, 1985 are hereby fixed in the following amounts: (a) Chairman .................................. $2,300.00 per annum (b) Co~nissioner .............................. $2,070.00 per annum Notwithstanding the provisions of section 1, each member of the said Com~aission shall be paid a further sum of $40.00 per day for each day in which such member attends a special meeting approved by the Co~a~ission. For the purposes of section 2, the term "special meeting" shall mean, (a) conventions and seminars, (b) any meeting of a designated cc~ittee or subco~ittee of the Commission, and (c) any meeting of the Co~mission occurring outside the Town of Picketing, other than a regularly scheduled meeting of the Cor~ission.
