BY-LAW NUMBER 2289/86
Being a by-law to appoint Samuel William Huston
as Chief Plumbing Inspector effective July 14, 1986
WHEREAS pursuant to the Ontario Water Resources Act, chapter 361, section 46(1)(a}, a local
municipality may pass a by-law to appoint inspectors for the purpose of inspecting plumbing;
and
WHEREAS, in accordance with that Act and the regulations thereunder including, but not
necessarily limited to, the Plumbing Code, O. Reg. 815/84, as amended from time to time;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing hereby enacts
as follows:
1. Samuel William Huston is hereby appointed as Chief Plumbing Inspector for the
Corporation of the Town of Picketing effective July 14, 1986.
The duties of the Chief Plumbing Inspector shall include, but not necessarily be limited
to,
(a) the inspection of plumbing pursuant to the Ontario Water Resources Act,
(b) the enforcement of the Provincial Plumbing Code, and
(c) the administration of the Plumbing Division of the Department of Public Works
for the Town of Picketing.
3. By-laws 27/74 and 565/77 are hereby repealed.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and passed this 5th day of August, 1986.
