BY-LAW NUNBER 2282/86
Being a by-law to fix the salaries of the
Commissioners of the Picketing Hydro-Electric
Commission for the period commencing December 1,
1985 and expiring on November 30, 1986.
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of section 43(1) of the Public Utilities Act,
R.S.O. 1980, c. 423, the salary of such commissioners shall from time to time be fixed
by the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY ENACTS as
follows:
The salaries of the members of the Pickering Hydro-Electric Commission for the
period expiring with the 30th day of November, 1986 are hereby fixed in the
following amounts:
a) Chairman ................................ $2,400.00 per annum
b) Commissioner ............................ $2,160.00 per annum

Notwithstanding the provisions of section 1, each member of the said Commission
shall be paid a further sum of $40.00 per day for each day in which such member
attends a special meeting approved by the Commission.
For the purposes of section 2, the term "special meeting" shall mean,
a) convention and seminars,
b) any meeting of a designated committee or subcommittee of the Commission,
and
c) any meeting of the Commission occurring outside the Town of Pickering,
other than a regularly scheduled meeting of the Commission.
BY-LAW READ a first, second and third time and finally PASSED this 30th day of June,
1986.
