BY-LAW NO. 2144/86
Being a By-law to provide for interim control of
land uses.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Planning Act, 1983, S.O. 1983, c.l,
s.37, the Council of a local municipality may pass a by-law to provide for the interim
control of land uses where a review or study of land use planning policies has been
directed to be undertaken;
NOW THEREFORE, THE Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
For each item set out in Schedule A hereto, the Council of the Town
having directed by the Resolution referred to in Column I that a review
or study of ]and use planning policies be undertaken for the area or
areas defined in Column II, no person shall use any ]and, building or
structure within the area or areas defined in Column II except for such
purposes as are set out in Column III during the period of time set out in
Column IV.
Reference to "Column I", "Column
section 1 above are references to
by-law.
IIII, "Column III" and "Column IV" in
those columns in Schedule A to this
Schedules A and B hereto form part of this by-law.
This by-law, and each amendment hereto that prohibits the use of any
land, building or structure, shall come into force on the day that it is
passed, subject to the operation of section 37 of the Planning Act, 1983.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 3rd day of
February, 1986.
