BY-LAW NUMBER 3457/90
Being a by-law to repeal By-law 1902/84
respecting reduced load periods
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of section 104a(7) of the Highway
Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 198, as amended, a municipal corporation
may, by by-law, designate the date on which a reduced load period shall
start or end and the highway or portion thereof under its jurisdiction to
which the designation applies:
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
1. For the purposes of subsections {1), {2) and (3) of section 104a of
the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 198, as amended,
"reduced load period" shall be that period starting on March 1st and
ending on April 30th, both inclusive, in each year.
2. The highways or portions thereof to which the abovementioned
designation of a reduced load period applies are those highways or
portions thereof other than those included in Schedule "A" to this
by-law.
3. This by-law shall not be effective unless appropriate signs are
erected and on display.
4. By-law 1902/84 is hereby repealed.
