Seconded by Councillor Pickles
That Council move into closed session in accordance with the provisions of Section
239(2) of the Municipal Act and the Procedure By-law, to consider a matter pertaining to
Capital Program and Community Benefit Strategy for Cherrywood Area Lands. This
matter is being discussed in-camera as it relates to:
f) advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications
necessary for that purpose;
h) information explicitly supplied in confidence to the municipality or local board by
Canada, a Province or territory or a Crown agency of any of them; and,
k) a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any
negotiations carried on or to be carried on by or on behalf of the municipality or
local board.

That Council rise from the closed session of the Special Meeting of Council.

Council took a brief pause to allow the livestream of the Meeting to be resumed.
Mayor Ashe stated that during the closed portion of the meeting, Council received
a verbal update pertaining to information explicitly supplied in confidence by the
Province, a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any
negotiations carried on or to be carried on by or on behalf of the municipality, and

Councillor Brenner, seconded by Councillor Nagy moved for leave to introduce a By-law
of the City of Pickering to confirm the proceedings of August 3, 2023.
