Pursuant to Part VI.1 of the Municipal Act, 2001
July 1, 2023
Delegation of Mayor’s powers pertaining to Committees comprised solely of
Members of Council
The Mayor hereby delegates to Council in accordance with subsection 284.13(1) of the
Municipal Act, 2001 (the “Act”) and section 6 of O. Reg. 530/22:
•the Mayor’s powers under section 284.8 to establish and dissolve committees,
appoint chairs and vice-chairs, and assign functions to committees, which shall
be exercised in accordance with the City’s Procedure By-law, noting that this By-
law may be repealed, replaced or amended from time to time by Council.
This delegation takes effect on July 1, 2023 and remains in effect unless and until it is
revoked in writing by the Mayor, or upon the conclusion of the 2022-2026 Term of
Office.
