BY-LAW NUMBER 3596/90
Being a by-law respecting remuneration
for Members of Council.
Whereas pursuant to the provisions of section 238.1 of the Municipal
Act, R.S.O. 1980, c. 302, as amended, the council may pass by-laws
for paying remuneration to the members of Council; and
Whereas it is now deemed expedient to establish the remuneration to
be paid to members of Council for the year 1990;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The remuneration payable to the Mayor shall be $38,801.00 per
annum or $200.00 per meeting commencing December l, 1989.
2. The remuneration payable to a Councillor shall be $14,742 per
annum or $100.00 per meeting commencing December l, 1989.
3. This by-law shall be effective from December l, 1989.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this
19th day of November, 1990.
