HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 3485/90 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW 3485/90 Being a by-law to repeal By-laws 1673/83, 1936/84 and 2089/85 which designates, under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act, certain properties in the hamlet of Whitevale to be of historical and architectural value or interest WHEREAS pursuant to the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 337, section 29.6, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering passed the following by-laws to designate properties in the hamlet of Whitevale to be of historical and architectural value or interest: 1. By-law 1673/83 to designate the Christian and Miller Houses 2.By-law 1936/84 to designate Lots 53 and 54, Plan 21 (known as the Constantinides House) 3. By-law 2089/85 to designate the Rider House and; WHEREAS a study and plan are being prepared under Part V of the Act to designate the Hamlet of Whitevale and area as a Heritage Conservation District; and WHEREAS pursuant to Section 41(2) of the Ontario Heritage Act, no property designated by a council of a municipality under Part IV shall be designated as part of a heritage conservation district under this Part V; NOW THEREFORE be it enacted that: 1. By-law 1673/83, By-law 1936/84 and By-law 2089/85 are hereby repealed. 2. This by-law shall not take effect until the Hamlet of Whitevale Heritage Conservation District Study and Plan have been approved by the Ontario Municipal Board.
