BY-LAW NUMBER 3412/90
Being a by-law to amend By-law 264/75 to
establish a 40 kilometre per hour speed
limit on local roads adjacent to all schools
Whereas By-law 264/75 allows Council to authorize speed limits on
highways under the jurisdiction of the Town of Pickering; and
Whereas it is deemed expedient to establish the speed limit on local
roads adjacent to schools at 40 kilometres (25 miles) per hour;
Now Therefore the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing
Hereby Enacts as follows:
1. Schedule "B" of By-law 264/75, is hereby amended by adding the
following:

2. This by-law shall take effect upon approval by the Regional
Municipality of Durham.
By-law read a first, second and third time and Passed this 5th day of
March, 1990.
