BY-LAW NUMBER 3408/90
Being a By-law to fix an amount to
charge for a certified statement, by
the Treasurer, of arrears of taxes.
Whereas pursuant to paragraph (a) of subsection 1 of section 408 of
the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, c302, as amended, Council may
determine by By-law the amount to be charged for a search and
certified statement by the Treasurer of arrears of taxes due on any
land; and
Whereas the administration cost of a search and certified statement
is $20.00 for each separate parcel of land;
Now therefore the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering hereby enacts as follows:
1. The amount to be charged for the cost of a search and certified
statement by the Treasurer of arrears of taxes shall be $20.00
for each parcel of land for which a search is conducted and a
certified statement issued.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this
19th day of February, 1990.
