BY-LAW NO. 3343 /89
Being a by-law to assume Glenanna Avenue,
(renamed Pickering Parkway by By-law 1898/84),
Gets Circle and Dreyber Court, Plan M-1024
Pickering, for public use as public highways
under the jurisdiction of the Town.
WHEREAS, Glenanna Avenue, (renamed Pickering Parkway by By-law 1898/84), Geta
Circle and Dreyber Court are highways shown on plan of subdivision and are there-
fore deemed, pursuant to the Surveys Act, R.S,O. 1980, c.493, s.57, to be public
highways; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Municipal Act, R.S.O, 1980, c.302, s.259, the Council of
The Corporation of the Town of Picketing has jurisdiction over those highways (the
Council of The Regional Municipality of Durham not having enacted a by-law pursuant
to the Regional Municipality of Durham Act, R.S.O. 1980, c.434, s.28, to add those
highways to the regional road system); and
WHEREAS pursuant to the Municipal Act, s.258, the soil and freehold of those high-
ways is therefore vested in The Corporation of the Town of Pickering;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The following highways are hereby assumed for public use as public highways
under the jurisdiction of the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picker-
lng:
Glenanna Avenue, (renamed Picketing Parkway by By-law 1898/84), Gets Circle
and Dreyber Court
all according to Plan M-1024 Town of Picketing, Regional Municipality of
Durham.
2. The Town Solicitor is hereby authorized to apply to the Land Registrar pursu-
ant to the Land Titles Act, R.S.O. 1980, c.230, s.151, to have the Corporation
entered as the owner of the highways referred to in section 1.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 18th day of
December, 1989.
