BY-LAW NUMBER
Being a By-law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-laws 2511, 2520, 3036 and 3037, as
amended, to implement the Official Plan of the Town of Picketing District Planning Area,
Region of Durham within the boundaries of the Town of Picketing. (A 16/89 )
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing deems it desirable to
delete golf courses as a use permitted as-of-right;
AND WHEREAS amendments to By-laws 2511, 2520, 3036 and 3037, as amended, are therefore
deemed necessary;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. TEXT AMENDMENTS: BY-LAW 2511
(1) Section 20.1.1 of By-law 2511 is hereby amended by deleting the term "golf courses"
from it;
(2) Section 20.1.3 of By-law 2511 is hereby revoked.
2. TEXT AMENDMENTS: BY-LAW 2520
Section 15.1.1 of By-law 2520 is hereby amended by deleting the term "golf courses" from it.
3. TEXT AMENDMENTS: BY-LAW 3036
Section 16. l.l of By-law 3036 is hereby amended by deleting the term "golf course, driving
range" from it.
4. TEXT AMENDMENTS: BY-LAW 3037
(1) Section 5.16 of By-law 3037 is hereby amended by deleting the sentence "Private
parks including a country club, a golf course, or driving range, and similar outdoor
activities may be created and used for commercial purposes in the Rural
Agricultural "A" Zone." from it and substituting the following sentence therefor:
"Private parks (excluding a country club, a golf course, a driving range, and similar
outdoor activities) may be created and used for commercial purposes in the Rural
Agricultural "A" Zone."
(2) Section 13.1.1 of By-law 3037 is hereby amended by deleting the term "golf courses,
driving ranges" from it.

EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take e~fect from the day of passing hereof subject to the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME THIS DAY OF ~ 1989,
READ A THIRD TIME AND PASSED THIS DAY OF , 1999.
