By-law No. 7813/21
Being a by-law to appoint Catalina Blumenberg as the
Deputy Clerk for The Corporation of the City of Pickering
Whereas pursuant to Section 228. (1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25, as
amended, (`the Act'), a municipality shall appoint a clerk whose duty it is,
a) to record, without note or comment, all resolutions, decisions and other
proceedings of the Council;
b) ` if required by any member present at a vote, to record the name and vote of
every member voting on any matter or question;
c) to keep the originals or copies of all by-laws and if all minutes of the proceedings
of Council;
d) to perform the other duties required under this Act or under any other Act; and,
e) to perform such duties as are assigned by the municipality.
And Whereas pursuant to, Section 228. (2) of the Act, a municipality may appoint deputy
clerks who have all the powers and duties of the clerk under this and any other Act;
Now therefore the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering hereby enacts as
follows:
1. That Catalina Blumenberg is hereby appointed Deputy Clerk of The Corporation of
the City of Pickering effective February 1; 2021.
2. By-law Number 7420/15 is hereby repealed.
