BY-LAW NO. 3170 /89
Being a by-law to amend By-law 2144/86, as
amended (Interim Control-Planning).
WHEREAS, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering has enacted
By-laws 2144/86 and 2797/88 pursuant to the provisions of the Planning Act, 1983,
S.O. 1983, chapter t, section 37(1), to impose interim planning control in the
Highway No. 2 - Whites Road Northeast Quadrant of the Woodlands Community of the
Town for a one year period ending June 5, 1989;
WHEREAS, since the land using planning policy study in support of which By-law
2797/88 was passed has not been completed nor has resulted in the enactment of a
zoning by-law amendment and it is therefore necessary, pursuant to section 37(2) of
the Act, to extend the period of time during which such interim control will be in
effect~
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Item 13 of Schedule A to By-law 2144/86, as made by By-law 2797188, is hereby
amended by deleting "June 5, 1989" from Column IV and substituting "June 5,
1990" for it.
2. This By-law shall come into force on the day that it is passed, subject to the
operation of section 37 of the Planning Act, 1983.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 5th day of June,
1989.
