HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 3108/89 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NO. 3108/89 Being a by-law to give the consent of The Corpo- ration of the Town of Pickering to the granting of an easement from M.T.R.C.A. to Metropolitan Toronto over lands a part of which comprise Grand Valley Park. (Part 1, Plan 40R-11428). WHEREAS pursuant to section 193 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 302, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing may pass by-laws respecting its interest in land required for the purposes of the Corporation; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation o£ the Town of Picketing HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Corporation of the Town of Picketing hereby consents to the granting of an easement by the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation Authority to the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto for the purpose of allowing Metropolitan Toronto to construct, reconstruct, operate, use, inspect, repair, maintain and alter monitoring wells on Part 1, Plan 40R-11428, being lands that are managed by the Town for park and recreational purposes in accordance with an Agree- ment dated April 17, 1972 between the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conser- vation Authority and The Corporation of the Township of Picketing (of which The Corporation of the Town of Picketing is the successor). (Grand Valley Park). 2. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any document or docu- ments approved by the Town Solicitor for the purpose of implementing the consent granted under section 1. BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 17th day of April, 1989.
