BY-LAW NUMBER 2995/89
Being a by-law to amend By-law Number 425/76
respecting residential fences and swimming pool
enclosures in the Town of Pickering
Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering enacted
By-law Number 425/76 respecting residential fences and swimming pool
enclosures in the Town of Pickering on July 5, 1976; and
Whereas it is deemed expedient to amend this By-law to provide for a fee
of $25.00 for a swimming pool enclosure;
Now Therefore the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
hereby enacts as follows:
1. Section 7 of By-law Number 425/76 is hereby deleted and the following
is substituted therefor:
7. No person shall excavate for or erect a privately-owned swimming
pool without a permit certifying that approval of the plans for
the enclosure has been issued and the permit fee of $25.00 has
been paid.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 16th
day of January, 1989.
