Bein9 a by-law to declare Part II of the
Provincial Offences Act applicable to parking
infractions under certain municipal by-laws
Whereas, pursuant to section 15(2) of the Provincial Offences Act, R.S.O.
1980, c. 400, as amended, the council of a municipality may by by-law
declare that Part II of the Act applies in respect of parkin9 infractions
under by-laws in the municipality on a date earlier than the date
determined under section 15(1) of the Act;
Now Therefore the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
hereby enacts as follows:
1. Part II of the Provincial Offences Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 400,
as amended, applies in respect of all parking infractions under
By-law Number 2359/87, as amended.
2. This by-law comes into force and effect on July l, 1988 subject to
the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
By-law passed a first, second and third time and finally passed this 15th
day of February, 1988.
