BY-LAW NO. 2632/88
Being a by-law to provide for the erection of stop
signs at certain intersections within the Town of
Pickering.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1980, c.198, s.ll7, the
Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering may by by-law provide for the
erection of stop signs at intersections on highways under its jurisdiction;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Stop signs shall be erected at the intersections of highways set out in Column I
of Schedule A attached hereto, facing the traffic bound in the directions set
out in Column II of that Schedule.
2. Schedule A hereto forms part of this by-law.
3. By-laws 506/76, 1243/81, 1249/81, 1357/81, 1636/83, 1642/83, 1739/83, 1836/84,
1905/84, 1919/84, 1957/85, 2007/85, 2019/85, 2093/85, 2114/85, 2136/86, 2151/86,
2191/86, 2387/87, 2463/87, 2500/87, 2532/87 and 2618/87 are hereby repealed.
4. This by-law shall not come into force unless it is approved by the Council of
the Regional Municipality of Durham pursuant to the Regional Municipality of
Durham Act, R.S.O. 1980, c.434, s.40.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this llth day of
January, 1988.
