BY-LAW NUMBER 2669/88
Being a by-law respecting remuneration
for Members of Council.
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of section 238.1 of the Municipal Act,
R.S.O. 1980, c. 302, as amended, the council may pass by-laws for paying
remuneration to the members of Council; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to establish the remuneration to be paid
to members of Council for the year 1988;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Piekering
HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
1. The remuneration payable to the Mayor shall be $28,393 per annum
or $200.00 per meeting for the period December 1, 1987 to November
30, 1988 (inclusive)
2. The remuneration payable to a Councillor shall be $12,775 per annum
or $100.00 per meeting for the period December 1, 1987 to November
30, 1988 (inclusive)
3. This by-law shall be effective from December 1, 1987.
4. By-law Number 2464/87 is hereby repealed.
BY-LAW READ a first, second and third time and finally PASSED this 1st
day of February, 1988.
