BY-LAW NO.5934/01
Being a by-law to amend By-law 5419/98
to amend the scope signing services fees.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing enacted By-law Number
5419/98 on December 7, 1998 to establish fees for signing services; and
WHEREAS Section 220.1 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, a municipality may pass by-laws
imposing fees or charges on any class of persons for services or activities provided or done by or
on behalf of it; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend By-law Number 5419/98 to amend the scope of
signing services fees;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
Item 2 shall be amended to delete the last sentence, which reads, "This fee shall apply
only to non-residents."
Item 3 shall be amended to delete the last sentence, which reads, "This fee shall apply
only to non-residents."
2. this by-law shall take effect on January 1, 2002.
BY-LAW read a fh'st, second and third time and finally passed this 17th day of December, 2001.
