BY-LAW NO. 5866/01
Being a by-law to ratify the terms of a
Memorandum of Settlement dated June 21, 2001
Between The Corporation of the City of Picketing
And Canadian Union of Public Employees,
Local 129 respecting a Collective Agreement for
2001/2004 and to authorize the execution of that
Collective Agreement.
WHEREAS, pursuant to sections 207.45, 207.46, 207.47, 207.48 and 207.49 of the Municipal
Act R.S.O. 1990 chapter M.45, the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering may pass
by-laws for providing various forms of remuneration, pensions, benefits and insurance for
municipal employees.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The Memorandum of Settlement dated June 21, 2001 between The Corporation of the
City of Picketing and Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 129, a copy of which
is attached hereto as Attachment 1, is hereby ratified.

The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Collective Agreement in the
form attached hereto as Attachment 2, between The Corporation of the City of Pickering
and Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 129 respecting the period beginning
April 1, 2001 to March 31, 2004.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 25~ day of June, 2001.
