Bruce Taylor City Clerk From: Denise Bye Manager, Legal Services Subject: Road Dedication By-Law - Long & McQuade Limited - Part of Road Allowance between Lots 30 & 31, Range 3, B.F.C., (Parts 4 & 5, Plan 40R-18317) the "Reserves" - File: W2304.398 In 1998 the northerly portion of Rosebank Road was stopped-up, closed and conveyed to Long and McQuade Limited for incorporation into their future development of adjacent lands and the Reserves set out herein were to be dedicated as public highway upon the development of such lands. As Long & McQuade Limited are now in a position to develop the adjacent lands and have entered into an agreement for the construction of the southerly portion of Rosebank Road, it is now appropriate to lift the Reserves. Attached hereto is a location map and a draft by-law, enactment of which will lift the 0.3 metre Reserves thus permitting legal access. This by-law is in the form usually used in such cases and is attached for the consideration of City Council at its meeting scheduled for December 18th, 2000. WHEREAS The Corporation of the City of Pickering is the owner of those parts of the Road Allowance between Lots 30 and 31, Range 3, Broken Front Concession, Pickering, designated as Parts 4 & 5, Plan 40R-18317 and wishes to dedicate them as public highway. NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: Those parts of the Road Allowance between Lots 30 and 31, Range 3, Broken Front Concession, Pickering, designated as Parts 4 & 5, Plan 40R-18317, are hereby dedicated as public highway (Rosebank Road).
