BY-LAW NO. 5 7 48/00
Being a by-law to authorize the execution of a Transfer of
Easement from The Corporation of the City of Pickering
to Veridian Connections Inc. over those Parts of Blocks
19 and 21, Plan 40M-1231, and Part of the Streets-l,
Plan 40M-1231, Pickering, designated as Parts 3, 4 and
5, Plan 40R-19362
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 191(1) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap.
M.45, the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering may pass by-laws for disposing of
interests in lands owned by it; and
WHEREAS The Corporation of the City of Picketing wishes to transfer an easement, subject to certain
terms and conditions, over those Parts of Blocks 19 and 21, Plan 40M-1231 and Parcel Streets-l, Plan
40M-1231, Picketing designated as Parts 3, 4 and 5, Plan 40R-19362 to Veridian Connections Inc. for
access and maintenance of the underground power cables and associated equipment;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the City of Picketing HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Transfer of Easement from The
Corporation of the City of Picketing to Veridian Connections Inc. over those Parts of Blocks 19
and 21, Plan 40M-1231 and Parcel Streets-1, Plan 40M-1231, Pickering, designated as Parts 3, 4
and 5, Plan 40R-19362 for access and maintenance of the underground power cables and
associated equipment which transfer shall be subject to the terms and conditions, more
particularly set out in the Transfer of Easement attached hereto as Schedule A.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 2nd day of October, 2000.
