BY-LAW NUMBER 5744/00
Being a by-law to adopt a graphic for use on documentation
of the Corporation of the City of Pickering.
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 9 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. M.45, as
amended, the powers of a municipal corporation shall be exercised by its Council; and
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 101(1) of the said Act, the jurisdiction of every Council
is confined to the municipality that it represents and its powers shall be exercised by by-
law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The graphic that is attached hereto as Schedule "A" is hereby adopted.
The graphic attached hereto as Schedule "A" shall be used by all officers and staff
and other representatives of the Corporation of the City of Pickering on aH
documentation, artifacts, structures, or any material where the use of such graphic
is deemed desirable to idemify the Corporation of the City of Pickering.
No other person, agency, organization or corporate body shall use the graphic
attached hereto as Schedule "A" without the express permission of the Council of
the Corporation of the City of Picketing.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 18th day of September,
2000.
