HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 5740/00THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PICKERING BY-LAW NO. 5740/00 Being a by-law to further amend By-law 2632/88 to provide for the erection of stop signs at certain intersections with the City of Pickering. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 137 of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap. H.8, the council of a municipality may by by-law provide for the erection of stop signs at intersections on highways under its jurisdiction; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: City of Picketing HEREBY Stop signs shall be erected at the intersections of highways set out in Column I, facing the traffic bound in the direction or directions set out in Column II. Schedule A to By-law 2632/88, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following items: Column I Intersections Bronte Square and Charlotte Circle (East Intersection) Bronte Square and Charlotte Circle (West Intersection) Bronte Square and Bronte Square (North Intersection) Bronte Square and Bronte Square (South Intersection) Column II Facing Traffic Northbound on Charlotte Circle Northbound on Charlotte Circle Southbound on Bronte Square Southbound on Bronte Square This by-law shall not come into force unless it is approved by the Council of the Regional Municipality of Durham pursuant to the Regional Municipalities Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter R.8, section 34. BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 18th day of September, 2000.
