BY-LAW NO. 5707/00
Being a By-law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 2511, as amended by
By-law 1399/81, to implement the Official Plan of the City of Picketing District
Planning Area, Region of Durham on Part of Lot 64, Plan 350, in the City of
Picketing. (A 12/99)
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the City of Picketing deems it desirable to rezone
the subject lands, being Part of LOt 64, Plan 350, City of Picketing;
AND WHEREAS an amendment to By-law 2511, as amended by By-law 1399/81, is therefore
deemed necessary;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. TEXT AMENDMENT
By-law 1399/81, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following:
(6) (a)
Notwithstanding any other provisions of this by-law, no buildings or
structures shall be erected within those lands designated "R4(DN)" and
cross-hatched on Schedule 'T' to By-law 1399/81.
(b)
Despite section (6)(a) above, fences and recreational equipment may be
erected within those lands designated "R4(DN)" and cross-hatched on
Schedule 'T' to By-law 1399/81.
2. SCHEDULE "I" AMENDMENT
Schedule 'T' to By-law 1399/81, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding
thereto those lands being Part of Lot 64, Plan 350, further described as Part 1,
Plan 40R-19738, and extending thereon, the "R4(DN) zone category, and cross-hatching.
Accordingly, Schedule 'T' to By-law 1399/81 is hereby replaced with Schedule 'T'
attached hereto.
3. BY-LAW 1399/81
By-law 1399/81, as amended, is hereby further amended only to the extent necessary to
give effect to the provisions of this by-law as set out in Section 1 and 2 above, and as set
out in Schedule I attached hereto. Definitions and subject matter not specifically dealt
within this by-law shall be governed by the relevant provisions of By-law 2511, as
amended.
4. EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof subject to the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
