BY-LAW NO. 5637/00
Being a by-law to establish the dates of the
Advance Polls for the regular election to be held in
2000
WHEREAS Section 43(1) of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, states that at least 30 days
before voting day, the council of a local municipality shall pass a by-law establishing one or more
dates for an advance vote and the hours during which voting places shall be open on that date or
dates;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CiTY OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The dates for the advance vote in the City of Picketing for the regular municipal election
to be held in the Year 2000 shall be Saturday, November 4, 2000 and Wednesday,
November, 8, 2000.
The advance votes noted in Section 1 above shall be held between the hours of 10:00 a.m.
and 8:00 p.m. in the Pickering Civic Complex.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 20t~ day of March, 2000.
