HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 5633/00THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 5633/00 Being a By-law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 3036, as amended by By-law 2311/86, to implement the Official Plan of the City of Picketing District Planning Area, Region of Durham in Part of Lots 29 and 30, Concession 1 (Parts 1 & 2, Plan 40R-10007) in the City of Picketing. (A 26/99) WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing deemed it desirable to zone the subject lands, being Part of Lots 29 and 30, Concession 1, City of Picketing, to permit the development of detached dwellings, a public school, and a neighbourhood park; AND WHEREAS enrolment at the public school has increased significantly requiting the surplus of students to be accommodated in portable classrooms; AND WHEREAS the school board proposes to build a permanent addition onto the main school building by December 31,2001; AND WHEREAS an amendment to By-law 2311/86 is therefore deemed necessary to permit the continuance of two (2) portable classrooms closer to the front lot line than currently permitted; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: e me TEXT AMENDMENT Section 5. PROVISIONS of By-law 2311/86 is amended by adding the following after (3)(a) Uses Permitted ("ES" Zone), and renumbering the following subsection (4) accordingly: (b) Special Provision ("ES" Zone) Despite the provisions of Section 5.15 of By-law 3036, for the purposes of the area zoned "ES" on Schedule 'T' attached to By-law 2311/86, two (2) portable classrooms may be located with a minimum front yard depth of 8 metres until December 31, 2001 BY-LAW 2311/86 By-law 2311/86 is hereby amended only to the extent necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By-law. Definitions and subject matter not specifically dealt with in this By-law shall be governed by the relevant provisions of By-law 3036, as amended. EFFECTIVE DATE This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing, subject to the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
