HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 4110/92 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PZCKER][NG BY-LAW NUMBER 4] 10/92 Being a by-law to amend By-law Number 3801/91 to establish certain benefits for those employees of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering not covered by a collective labour agreement. WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering enacted By-law Number 3801/91 on August 8, lggl to establish certain benefits for those employees of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing not covered by a collective labour agreement; and WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend this By-law to provide for an enhanced life insurance plan; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. By-law Number 3801/91 is hereby amended by deleting therefrom clause 1.(1)(v) and substituting therefor the following: (v) Life Insurance Plan to a value of twice the employee's annual earnings to the nearest $500.00 of annual salary; notwithstanding the above, an employee may apply for a further sum of insurance to bring the total life insurance to three times annual earnings to the nearest $500.00, subject to evidence of insurability, to a maximum of $200,000.00. The employee shall pay 100% of the premium cost of this additional insurance. By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 19th day of October, 1992.
