BY-LAW NO. 4376_/93
Being a by-law to authorize the payment of a severance
allowance to Erick Andersen, Inspection Officer
WHEREAS Erick Andersen has been eligible for early retirement since March 1993 and is now
considering retirement effective December 31, 1993; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 207.45 of the Mumcipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter
M.45, the Corporation wishes to provide a severance allowance to Erick Andersen in order to encourage
him to take advantage of that eligibility, thereby allowing the Corporation to reduce its expenditures;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
I. In the event that Erick Andersen retires fi.om his employment with The Corporation of the Town
of Picketing on or before December 31, 1993, the Corporation shall pay to hink or as he directs,
the sum of $6.000 as a severance allowance.
2. The Town Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to make the payment referred to in section
1 of this By-law upon being advised by the Manager, Human Resources, that the pre-condition set
out in that section has been met.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 20th day of December, 1993.
