BY-LAW NUMBER 4373/93
Being a by-law to amend By-law Number 1769/83 to
prohibit or regulate the keeping and nmning at large of
certain animals.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing enacted By-law
Number 1769/83 on September 17, 1984 to prohibit or regulate the keeping and running
at large of certain animals; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend this by-law to allow for the keeping, owning
or harbouring of the class of animal known as ratitae (cassowary, emu or ostrich) in the
rural area of the municipality;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS;
1. Schedule B-2 of By-law Number 1769/83 is hereby amended by deleting therefi'om
the following:
10. Ratitae
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 20th day of December,
1993.
