Being a by-law to appoint Mr. C.M.
Timothy Sheffield and Mr. James Walls
as temporary Acting Clerks.
WHEREAS pursuant to section 73(3) of the Municipal Act,
R.S.O. 1990, chapter M.45, as amended, when the office of
clerk is vacant or the clerk is unable to carry on his or
her duties through illness or otherwise, the council may
appoint a temporary acting clerk who shall have all the
powers and duties of the clerk under this and every other
Act;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN
OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Mr. C.M. Timothy Sheffield is hereby appointed as a
temporary acting clerk commencing on July 2, 1993 and
whose appointment shall expire on December 31, 1993.
2. Mr. James Walls is hereby appointed as a temporary
acting clerk commencing on August 9, 1993 and whose
appointment shall expire on September 3, 1993.
3. By-law Number 842/78 shall be repealed effective July
1, 1993.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally
passed this 28th day of June, 1993.
